In September, the Clinical teaching and facilitation program was delivered as a face‑to‑face, interactive workshop facilitated by Tess Vawser. The program was designed to strengthen participants’ confidence and capability in teaching, facilitating, and supporting clinical learning in practice settings.
The day explored key concepts underpinning effective clinical education, including contemporary learning theories and their application to clinical skills teaching, core educational terminology, and the principles of small‑group facilitation. Participants also examined interprofessional education, components of course design, and the use of scenario‑based teaching to enhance clinical skills training.
Excellent engaging day! loved hand on clinical skills learning, practicing giving feedback very useful, course planning is brilliant for ideas and teamwork.
Being able to demonstrate skills & hear how people give feedback I found was very helpful.
