The Brookes Academy proudly funded a bespoke paediatric resuscitation and post‑operative care training session for PACU nurses. Delivered by Royal Children’s Hospital Outreach experts Michael Larin, Jacqui Riccioni, and Alana Heaven, the session focused on strengthening and standardising high‑quality paediatric post‑operative care across the group.
Developed in response to a 2024 needs‑gap analysis, the program enhanced critical knowledge and practical skills essential for caring for deteriorating children in the post‑operative setting. Key learnings from the session will now be shared across post-anaesthetic care teams, supporting consistent, evidence‑based care and reinforcing our commitment to Excellence for every child, every family, every time.
